You Never Really Know What Your Neighbor's Going Through

Humans, by nature, are selfish creatures. This gets us in trouble many times. My pastor was talking the other night at church about being patient with others, and trying to see things from other people's perspective. He told a story about a driver who cut him off and then broke a few traffic rules. They were both on the way to the hospital. When they got there, my pastor sees why the man was in such a hurry. The man helped his pregnant wife out of the car. Sometimes we get so annoyed by the way people are behaving when we don't really know what they are going through at all. It reminded me of this song by Sawyer Brown, "They Don't Understand".

"3Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
4Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others."
Philippians 2:3-4 (KJV)
